About Mortenson Dental Partners

Mortenson Dental Partners is the largest dental support organization owned entirely by the dentists it supports as well as team members through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). Beginning as a single location in 1979, MDP supports over 150 dental practices. Founded by Dr. Wayne Mortenson and his wife Sue, the organization has grown through affiliations with other dentist groups sharing similar values, including Howard Family Dental, Summit Dental Health, Stonehaven Dental, and others, each maintaining their own brand identity under the MDP umbrella. The ESOP ownership model is MDP's most distinctive differentiator in the DSO landscape, making every team member a co-owner.
