What if the Dental Office Needs to Cancel?

Last updated: March 2025

Things happen and sometimes an office needs to cancel.

Things happen and sometimes an office needs to cancel. How much you are paid as a professional depends on when the shift is canceled:

  •  If the office cancels a shift 7 or more days (168+ hours) to the start time you will not receive any pay.
  • If the office cancels a shift within the 20 minutes grace period from the time of confirmation you will not receive any pay.
  • If the office cancels within 5-7 days (96-168 hours), you will not receive any pay.
  • If the office cancels within 2-4 days (24-96 hours), you will receive 25% of the total pay.
  • If the office cancels within 1 day (24 hours or less), you will receive the full day’s worth of pay.
  • If the professional is sent home early by the dental office, you will receive the full day’s worth of pay.

In certain situations, GoTu may need to cancel a shift due to weather or bad experiences. If a violation of our terms of service occurs, the resolution may differ from the standard process outlined above.
