GoTu Sponsors Superhero-Themed Oral Health Kits Reaching Children and Families in 18 States

Partnership with America’s ToothFairy helps deliver preventive education and supplies to 1,000 children and caregivers nationwide

GoTu, the technology-driven dental talent marketplace helping address the dental staffing crisis, has sponsored the distribution of superhero-themed Smile Guardian education resource kits through a partnership with America’s ToothFairy, helping expand oral health education for children and families in underserved communities across the country.

The sponsored kits included enough resources to reach 1,000 children and their parents or caregivers and were distributed to recipients in 18 states, from California to New Hampshire. Designed to make oral health education fun, memorable, and easy to use at home, each kit included child-sized toothbrushes and toothbrush covers, toothpaste, superhero-themed activity booklets for kids, and rack cards with oral health tips for the whole family.

GoTu’s support reflects a shared commitment to improving access to care. While GoTu works to strengthen the dental workforce by connecting qualified dental professionals with offices in need of assistance, America’s ToothFairy provides educational resources and support to nonprofit clinics, schools, libraries, and community organizations serving children and families in need.

“Access to care starts with access to people, resources, and information,” said Thalia Diedrick, Vice President of Marketing, GoTu. “At GoTu, we are committed to helping strengthen the dental ecosystem by addressing workforce shortages and supporting the communities dental professionals serve every day. We’re proud to partner with America’s ToothFairy on these Smile Guardian kits because they help children and families build healthy habits early, and that kind of prevention can change lives.”

America’s ToothFairy Executive Director Jill Malmgren thanked GoTu for investing in children’s oral health through educational outreach.

“We are deeply grateful to GoTu for supporting these Smile Guardian kits and helping us put engaging, practical oral health resources directly into the hands of children and caregivers,” said Malmgren. “When families have access to easy-to-understand tools that encourage healthy habits at home, they are better equipped to prevent dental problems before they begin. GoTu’s support is helping extend that opportunity to communities across the country.”

Among the recipients was Jenna Huggins, a pre-dental student at Clemson University and founder of More Than a Smile, who is currently running for Miss South Carolina. Huggins has been visiting elementary school classrooms across South Carolina, leading oral health presentations for young students focused on healthy hygiene habits and smile-friendly diets. The materials she received helped her continue building smile kits and supporting outreach to children in underserved communities.

“These products are going directly into smile kits distributed to children in underserved communities across South Carolina,” said Huggins. “Because every child deserves more than just a smile — they deserve access, confidence, and opportunity.”

Tooth decay remains one of the most common chronic childhood health conditions, yet many families still face barriers to preventive care and oral health education. By supporting educational tools that help children learn healthy habits and give caregivers practical guidance, GoTu and America’s ToothFairy are working together to help more children grow up healthy, confident, and ready to thrive.
