# What if the Dental Office Needs to Cancel?

Things happen and sometimes an office needs to cancel. How much you are paid as a professional depends on when the shift is canceled: If the office cancels a shift 7 or more days (168+ hours) to the start time you will not receive any pay. If the office cancels a shift within the 20 minutes grace period from the time of confirmation you will not receive any pay. If the office cancels within 5-7 days (96-168 hours), you will not receive any pay. If the office cancels within 2-4 days (24-96 hours), you will receive 25% of the total pay. If the office cancels within 1 day (24 hours or less), you will receive the full day's worth of pay. If the professional is sent home early by the dental office, you will receive the full day's worth of pay. In certain situations, GoTu may need to cancel a shift due to weather or bad experiences. If a violation of our terms of service occurs, the resolution may differ from the standard process outlined above.
